Job description

Prime Staffing is seeking a travel Anesthesia Technician for a travel job in St. Helena, California.

Job Description & Requirements

Responsible for daily anesthesia machine and related equipment maintenance. Assists anesthesia staff with pressure line insertion procedures. Maintains adequate anesthesia related supply inventory. Performs routine assigned clinical tasks of limited complexity. Works under direct supervision within defined parameters.

Requirements

Schedule: 5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday

• Shift: Day shift

• Hours: Start time alternates between 5:30 AM and 9:00 AM. The early shift is only when covering the other Anesthesia Tech.

• Weekends/Holidays: Off

• Certifications: None required

• Experience: Minimum 1 year as an Anesthesia Tech preferred

• Additional Experience: Anesthesia training is highly desirable. We support open heart surgeries and arterial line placement, so clinical knowledge and experience in those areas is beneficial.

• Call: None

EPIC experience required

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
  • Associate?s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Completion of medical terminology course: Preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare setting: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Anesthesia Technician certification: Preferred
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

  • AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS or AHA-CPR or ARC-CPR: Required

Minimum 1 year as an Anesthesia Tech preferred
