  • Summary— The Part-Time Audio Technician (A1) plays a key role in delivering high-quality audio experiences at live events. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments. Working closely with the Audio Lead and production team, the A1 ensures seamless execution from setup through showtime.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Audio Set-Up—Collaborate with Production Team and A2s to deploy and configure FOH and event audio systems; optimize system performance including EQ and room tuning.
  • Event Execution—Execute the audio plan in coordination with the Audio Lead, ensuring consistent, high-quality sound throughout the event.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of live event audio experience (or similar); corporate event experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of live audio systems (PA, consoles, RF, signal flow)
  • Experience mixing or operating audio for corporate events
  • Ability to read audio plots and system diagrams
  • Knowledge of proper gain structure, EQ, and system optimization
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in live environments
  • Networking fundamentals (audio systems)
