Job description

Salary:

Broadcast Management Group (BMG) is a full-service media production company that provides managed services and live News, Sports, music, and Entertainment production.

The Assistant Audio Engineer supports the A1 in preparing guests and audio for live broadcasts. Responsible for guest coordination, mic setup, and pre-show checks to ensure smooth, on-air execution in a fast-paced live TV environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Call and coordinate guests ahead of live hits
  • Fax out guests (audio/video checks before going live)
  • Prep and hand off guests to A1 for broadcast
  • Mic guests (lavaliers, IFBs, mic packs) and manage battery swaps
  • Assist with studio setup and breakdown for guest segments
  • Escort guests in/out of studio and manage flow
  • Perform audio checks and confirm readiness with A1
  • Monitor and follow show rundowns and guest schedules
  • Operate LiveU units for remote broadcasts
  • Set up and manage Zoom, Skype, and remote call-ins
  • Troubleshoot basic audio and connection issues in real time
  • Maintain clear communication with control room and production team
  • Stay calm and responsive under live broadcast pressure
  • Support overall production workflow as needed
  • Opportunity to grow into additional production roles over time


Requirements:

  • Must have experience working in a live production environment
  • Experience with Dante audio
  • Experience with RTS
