MASL Lehigh Valley 2026-27 - Lehigh Valley Spirits
The Lehigh Valley Spirits (MASL) Lehigh Valley franchise is seeking a PR and Communications Intern to support all aspects of the club's communications efforts throughout the 2026-27 season. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented team player with a passion for sports media, storytelling, and live event execution. This individual will play a key role in helping establish MASL Lehigh Valley as one of the region's premier sources of sports and entertainment.
REPORTS TO: PR and Media Coordinator
DURATION: Full Season (November - April)
HOURS: Approximately 20-30 hours per week (varies based on game schedule and events)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must be available to work all home games and other team-related events as needed, including nights and weekends
• Support the communications, creative, and marketing departments with daily and weekly initiatives, including media preparation and coordination
• Assist the PR and Media Coordinator with day-to-day operations and gameday communications responsibilities
• Organize and maintain press levelduring home games
• Compile and distribute game night media materials to press row, including stat packets, game notes, lineups, and other relevant documents
• Coordinate player and coach media availability sessions during weekday practices and team events
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance fan engagement and support organizational marketing and revenue initiatives
• Adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, live-event sports environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Must maintain a flexible schedule, including all home games, weekday office hours, and additional nights and weekends as required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Professional demeanor and ability to interact with players, staff, media, and senior leadership
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Energetic, positive, and proactive attitude
• Strong interest in sports communications, media relations, and live event production
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Previous experience in sports, entertainment, communications, or media relations preferred
• Background in sports writing, journalism, or content creation is a plus
• Bilingual candidates strongly preferred
• Familiarity with indoor soccer, professional sports environments, and/or the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) is a plus
• Passion for learning and growing within sports communications and public relations
