The PR Manager will drive global communications for Apple's fitness and sports technology initiatives. Working with PR teams in the US and internationally, you will build and implement our fitness and sports strategy for wearables, lead creative initiatives that showcase how Apple's product and service ecosystem helps users live healthier lives, and drive narratives on how our technology supports professional sports teams and organizations. You will also identify and manage issues in fast-moving news cycles, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, third-party partners, and developers.Candidates should have strong media relations skills across fitness, sports, and emerging media, and experience working with a diverse range of creators and audiences in the fitness space. Demonstrated experience managing launches, successful momentum campaigns, and organic creator fitness events is essential.
A minimum of 8 years experience in public relations, either at a PR agency or within a corporate setting.BS/BA or equivalent experience.Experience working in fitness and/or sports communications landscape. Deep knowledge of the sports and fitness landscape.
Experience in fitness communications, and a passion for the intersection of fitness and technology. Experience working with sports brands, or sporting events is a plus.Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with fitness and sports journalists, editors, and digital creators.A creative and strategic mindset with an interest in developing and executing new ways of doing things.Strong collaborative skills and demonstrated ability of working effectively within large, cross-functional teams.Experience with developing creative PR campaigns - including organic and social-first - driving meaningful impact and convening a clear understanding of specific audiences.Ability to handle multiple projects and issues, and thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and adapt quickly to change. Excited to tackle challenges that require excellent problem-solving and the ability to navigate through unchartered territory.Dedicated, self-motivated team player who demonstrates critical thinking.Adept at developing deep internal relationships to help drive communications objectives forward.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp attention to detail and project management expertise.
