Job description

FINN Partners is looking for an accomplished public relations and corporate communications leader to fill a Partner opening in its Portland, Oregon office. This is a senior position reporting to the Managing Partner. Our team is open to this person being located in the PNW or on the East Coast, working remotely.
Our team is one of the best in the industry. We seek people who are passionate about communications, ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the success of our clients and the agency. This is an opportunity to contribute to an amazing team, make significant contributions to the strategic direction of client accounts and aid in the growth of new and existing business.
In this role you will work with local and national B2B and enterprise clients with an emphasis on corporate communications.
As a Partner at FINN, you will:
  • Develop and grow senior level client relationships.
  • Partner closely with client senior leadership to align PR and corporate communications strategies with business goals.
  • Develop and pitch new business opportunities for FINN Partners.
  • Counsel and build relationships with industry peers and other FINN practice areas.
  • Provide counsel, strategy and direction on accounts.
  • Manage and develop account staff.
  • Develop strategic communications plans for clients to ensure consistent and compelling storytelling across channels.
  • Counsel clients through crisis communications, ranging from pre-crisis preparedness to recovery.
  • Prepare client spokespeople for media engagements and speaking events.
  • Maintain industry contacts to stay informed on current industry affairs.
You are a strong candidate if you have:
  • Extensive professional experience in public relations and corporate communications preferably in an agency setting.
  • Strong experience advising senior executives and managing high-profile issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to network with potential clients and develop new business leads, assessing and winning new business opportunities.
  • Ability to think creatively and plan strategically.
  • Skill at developing and delivering presentations and pitches for clients and prospective clients.
  • Strong oral, writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead others.
  • Superb interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to budget programs and manage client finances.
  • Availability to travel as needed to client meetings.
