Server Install Technician (Cabling / Rack & Stack)

📍 Northern Virginia (IAD Region – Multiple Sites)


🚀 Build the Backbone of the Internet

We’re hiring Data Center Technicians to support one of the fastest-growing hyperscale environments in Northern Virginia. This is your opportunity to get hands-on with enterprise infrastructure, working alongside top engineering teams supporting critical data center operations.

If you have experience with cabling, PC building, IT hardware, or rack & stack, this is your foot in the door to a long-term data center career.


📍 Location

Work across multiple cutting-edge data center sites in the IAD region, including:

  • Ashburn, Sterling, Herndon, Reston
  • Chantilly, Manassas, Gainesville, Haymarket

Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable traveling between sites


💼 What You’ll Do

You’ll be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining critical infrastructure:

  • Install and connect fiber optic and copper cabling between equipment
  • Rack & stack servers, switches, and enterprise hardware
  • Move, stage, and deploy large-scale data center equipment
  • Support break-fix troubleshooting and hardware replacements
  • Label, organize (“dress”), and manage cabling to data center standards
  • Follow strict safety, security, and installation procedures
  • Use material handling tools to safely move equipment

🔧 What We’re Looking For

We’re targeting candidates closer to Data Center Operations (DCO) level—not just basic installs.

Ideal backgrounds include:

  • Hands-on IT experience (lab, work, or personal projects)
  • PC building / hardware troubleshooting
  • Structured cabling (fiber or copper)
  • Rack & stack experience
  • Relevant certifications or IT education

⏱️ Schedule & Flexibility (Critical Requirement)

This is a 24/7 operation, and flexibility is NON-NEGOTIABLE.

You must be open to all shifts, including:

  • Sunday–Wednesday / Wednesday–Saturday (10-hour shifts)
  • Rotating weekday schedules
  • Standard business hour variations

🏋️ Physical & Work Environment
  • Lift up to 40 lbs (team lifts 40+ lbs)
  • Work on ladders, in tight spaces, or noisy environments
  • Stand/walk for extended periods (8+ hours)
  • Support after-hours operations if needed

🚗 Travel Expectations
  • Travel between data centers required
  • Must have valid driver’s license + personal vehicle
  • May train at one site before moving to your primary location

Pay and Benefits
