🚨 Hiring: Smart Hands / Network Field Engineers – Cisco WLC Deployment Project 🚨


We are looking for experienced Smart Hands / Network Field Engineers to support a large-scale Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) deployment project.


📍 Medford, Oregon, United States

📅 Project-Based / Contract Opportunity

🕒 Deployment schedule includes weekdays and weekends for larger sites


🔹 Key Responsibilities:


✅ Stage equipment prior to cutover activities


✅ Install and rack 2 Cisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) per site


✅ Perform rack & stack, cabling, and physical installations


✅ Complete power and network cross-connects


✅ Verify switch port availability and connectivity


✅ Install and connect SFP modules, fiber patch cords, and Ethernet patch cords


✅ Coordinate with remote engineering teams during cutover windows


✅ Validate installation and connectivity after deployment


🔹 Legacy Equipment Handling (Applicable for 40–50% of Sites)


• Remove existing WLCs


• Label and document equipment


• Pack and prepare hardware for return shipment


🔹 Required Skills & Experience


✔ Smart Hands / Network Field Engineering experience

✔ Rack & Stack installations


✔ Fiber and Ethernet cabling


✔ WLC installation and connectivity verification


✔ Console access and troubleshooting


✔ Remote support coordination

🔹 Required Tools


• Standard installation toolkit


• Laptop with PuTTY installed


• Console cable (USB-A to USB-B)


• Minimum 4 LAN cables


• Cross-over cable


• USB Thumb Drive with required Cisco IOS files


• TFTP Server software configured on laptop


• Wi-Fi Dongle / Mobile Broadband for backup connectivity


• Label maker


• Rack screws and mounting accessories


🔹 Deployment Pace


• Small/Medium Sites: Approximately 1 site per day


• Large Sites: Weekend deployment windows


We are particularly interested in engineers with strong network implementation, cabling, smart hands, and data center deployment experience who can independently handle physical installations and connectivity verification.
