Job description

The role of a Power Equipment Sales Specialist is to deliver exceptional customer service while prioritizing the achievement of sales targets across all Power Equipment departments. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of power equipment, a proficient grasp of the retail financing process, familiarity with competing product offerings, and a proven track record in relationship building and successful sales closures. Targeted product classes for this role encompass, but are not confined to: Tractors, Tractor Attachments & Implements, Zero-Turn and Riding Lawn Mowers, Utility Trailers, UTVs, along with all associated accessories and parts. As the primary point of contact for all customer power equipment needs throughout the entire equipment life cycle (including sales, service, warranty, etc.), the Power Equipment Sales Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service:
    • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.
    • Assist prospective customers in discovering power equipment solutions tailored to their unique applications and requirements.
    • Guide customers seamlessly through the retail financing process; ensure all prerequisites are fulfilled before the power equipment is released.
    • Assist customers and store mechanics with repair documentation in the Salesforce system, including creating cases, creating part requests, completing work orders, and finalizing the warranty claim process.
    • Maintain Salesforce system with current customer information throughout the whole life cycle of the equipment.
  • Perform daily operations of the Power Equipment department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
    • Coordinate the procurement of diverse Power Equipment for both maintaining store inventory and fulfilling custom orders from customers.
    • Assist with receiving, moving, and displaying power equipment products.
    • Ensure that equipment displays, and signage are set correctly and maintained to optimize sales.
    • Follow the Outdoor Merchandising Guide to ensure that all products are set and maintained to company standards.
    • Conduct pre-delivery inspection (PDI) processes when receiving and selling any applicable equipment.
    • Coordinate the delivery of equipment products to customers as needed.
    • Maintain accurate tractor inventory in both the store inventory systems and the Salesforce system.
    • Coordinate service and repair of items with the RK mechanics, parts department, and mobile technicians.
  • Cross train other associates within the store to assist power equipment customers.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the outside of the store, as well as the entire shop work area.
  • Stay up to date on power equipment latest developments.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
