The Embassy Suites by Hilton, located near the Charlotte airport, is currently hiring for a full-time Dishwasher. The person hired for this position will start at 6am; weekday and weekend availability is required.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
  • Sort and stack clean dishes.
  • Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas
  • Rewash soiled dishes before delivering
  • Change dishwasher in dish machine every hour
  • Wash pots, pans and trays by hand
  • Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
  • Break down all cardboard boxes and take to recycle bin
  • Set up or break down dishwashing area
  • Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Clean dish machine daily.
  • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
  • Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards or refrigerators

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess professional attitude and behavior
  • Must comply with uniform and appearance standards

JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees in this position work primarily indoors in a kitchen environment. This role routinely uses sinks and dishwasher and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; and stop or kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
