Position Overview

Diverse Agile Solutions (DAS) is seeking a highly skilled AEM Website Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-level web platforms built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The ideal candidate will possess strong front-end and back-end AEM development experience, a deep understanding of modern web technologies, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule based in Adelphi, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Build and customize AEM components, templates, workflows, and services
  • Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks
  • Integrate AEM with third-party systems, APIs, and enterprise applications
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, business analysts, and content authors to deliver high-quality digital experiences
  • Implement reusable components and scalable web solutions following best practices
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize website performance and functionality
  • Support content migration, authoring workflows, and publishing processes
  • Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards, security policies, and coding standards
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of web development experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development experience
  • Strong experience with:
    • AEM 6.x and AEM as a Cloud Service
    • Java, OSGi, Sling, and JCR
    • HTL/Sightly
    • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
    • React, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
    • RESTful APIs and integrations
    • Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud products
  • Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud environments
  • Experience implementing accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2)
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes
  • Experience supporting federal or enterprise-scale environments
  • AEM Developer Certification preferred
