SENIOR UI DEVELOPER React/Typescript developer with good communications skills
The Senior UI Developer supports front-end application development for prioritized applications within a given portfolio. Additionally, they advance the design system repository and configure web components for reuse across the enterprise. The Senior UI Developer is an individual, advanced contributor, who works with cross-functional experience design and agile teams to prototype, test, and deliver the application front end as designed and on schedule. Given his/her experience, s/he identifies opportunities to improve users experiences through continuous iteration and testing. They are a trusted design partner for their team, bringing professionalism to every aspect of their work.
UI Developer duties and responsibilities

  1. Develop user interface components for complex websites and applications
  2. Work closely with UX designers, web developers and other team members to deliver an overall seamless user experience
  3. Convert mockups into cross-browser HTML/CSS/JavaScript web components
  4. Unit testing and document new features developed
  5. Monitor trends in UI development and advocate technology standards and best practices
  6. Understand UI guidelines for relevant operating systems and appropriately adjust interfaces
  7. Contribute to the design system repository through strong collaboration with technology partners and experience design peers.
  8. Supports an evolving design system and component library by working with design developer practice lead in prioritizing prospective web components and configuring them for reuse in the design system repository.

UI Developer Skills and Qualifications
  • 6-8 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI development - ideally in a large enterprise, preferably B2B. Experience in Insurance and/or other Financial Services is a plus
  • Detailed experience with coding and the ability to troubleshoot and analyze websites using HTML, CSS and comparable languages
  • Continued education and research into UI development trends and current design strategy and technology
  • Professional written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize code for the best possible outcome
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces
  • Proficient with visual design programs such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD
  • Knowledge of web component technologies like: Stencil.js, Polymer and/or similar technologies
  • Experience with React/Typescript with an understanding
  • Tailwind CSS (any CSS or SASS experience)
  • Knowledge working with React.js
