Job description

International Multimedia Journalist -- I
Primary responsibilities:
• Assist production staff with preparation for live and recorded broadcasts.
• Help compile scripts, production notes, guest information, and program materials.
• Support studio setup and prepare production areas prior to broadcasts.
• Coordinate basic communication between production personnel, guests, and talent.
• Escort guests and assist with check-in and studio logistics.
• Monitor production schedules and help ensure materials are available when needed.
• Assist with gathering video clips, graphics, and other production elements.
• Perform research and fact-gathering to support program development.
• Assists in the preparation of production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including simple editing of voiceover and soundcuts from taped material, as assigned
• Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed
• Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines
• Works as a member of a team
• Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOA's digital asset management system
• Trains as a multimedia journalist (video, audio, editing)
• Trains on the use of technical equipment
• Other related duties as assigned
