Pressroom Manager
Centreville, MD

A privately owned commercial printing company is seeking an experienced Pressroom Manager to lead daily press production in a high-volume environment. This position requires strong, hands-on web press expertise and a leadership style centered on quality, equipment maintenance, accountability, and consistent execution.

The Pressroom Manager will work directly with company ownership, whose members are actively involved in the business. Clear communication, sound decision-making, and full operational ownership are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage pressroom operations across multiple shifts
  • Oversee production on Sanden 1500 and Sunday web presses
  • Maintain print quality, color consistency, and established press standards
  • Partner closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
  • Improve makeready performance, reduce waste, and increase efficiency
  • Enforce safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and quality expectations
  • Train, mentor, and develop press operators and team leads
