Senior Manager of Digital Experience - Web

Cooley is seeking a Senior Manager of Digital Web Experience - Web to join the Marketing and Business Development team.


Position summary: Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Digital Experience, the Senior Manager of Digital Experience - Web supports the strategy, performance, and governance of the firm's digital properties. This role helps deliver a scalable, data-driven web experience that enhances client engagement and aligns with Marketing & Business Development priorities. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Position responsibilities:

  • Web Strategy & Ecosystem: Lead the strategic vision and day-to-day operations for the firm's digital properties, transforming the website into a proactive growth platform and lead-generation engine.
  • CMS Business Ownership: Serve as the primary business owner for the Content Management System (CMS) and related web technologies, directing the technical roadmap and platform modernization.
  • Resource Management: Direct onshore UX/UI designers and offshore development teams to deliver continuous site enhancements, feature releases, and maintenance.
  • Platform Health & Quality: Responsible for the overall health, accessibility, and performance of digital platforms, ensuring a high-fidelity user experience and optimal page-load speeds.
  • Client Journey Support: Design and optimize web-based client journeys, ensuring the digital experience supports seamless transitions from email, search and social to conversion and contact.
  • Digital Metrics & Insights: Lead the analytics strategy for the web, utilizing heatmapping, user-flow analysis, and conversion tracking to report on site health and strategic impact.
  • Collaboration: Partner across Marketing and Business Development organization to ensure the website is a high-performance vehicle for the firm's narrative and a primary validator for the partner-led sales process.
  • Transformation Roadmap: Collaborate with Tech, IT, and external agencies on the long-term digital roadmap, prioritizing features that support the firm's "Always Ready" infrastructure.
  • Global Governance & Standards: Manage the governance framework for web updates, ensuring all digital content adheres to brand standards, taxonomy standards, SEO/AEO/GEO best practices, and legal requirements.
  • People Leader:
    • Serve as direct supervisor and mentor to direct reports
    • Provide day-to-day supervision of direct reports, ensure compliance with assigned work hours and monitor for compliance with all firm and department policies. Manage staffing coverage, review and process time logs/time off requests
    • Support business professional development and continued educational opportunities
    • In collaboration with immediate supervisor and central HR, participate in hiring, performance appraisals, counseling, termination and other employee lifecycle events
  • All other duties as assigned or required

Skills and experience:

Required:

  • After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
  • Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required
  • Ability to travel, as required
  • 7+ years of directly applicable experience (e.g., web operations, digital operations, or related field)
  • Proven experience with CMS/Web technologies, including and DAM
  • Strong understanding of SEO, AEO and GEO
  • Comfortable and familiar with UX/UI design

The expected annual pay range for this position with a full-time schedule is $155,000 - $225,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
