Position Description:
Join a high-impact Agile team supporting the modernization and sustainment of mission-critical supervisory systems for a federal agency. As a Junior Web Developer, you will help build, enhance, and maintain secure, scalable web applications that empower users across the nation. You'll work alongside experienced developers, UI/UX designers, and DevSecOps engineers, gaining exposure to modern frameworks, cloud technologies, and automation practices. This position is located in our Lafayette, Louisiana or Knoxville, TN office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Develop, test, and maintain web applications using modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, .NET Core)
. Collaborate with Agile teams to implement new features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on prioritized backlogs
. Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and sprint ceremonies to ensure quality and continuous improvement
. Integrate applications with databases and APIs, ensuring secure and efficient data flow
. Support application deployments through CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, staging, and production environments
. Contribute to user experience improvements by applying human-centered design principles
. Assist with documentation, testing, and compliance activities (including Section 508 accessibility)
. Engage in ongoing learning and skill development through mentorship and training
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
. 1-5 years of experience in web development (internships, academic projects, or professional roles)
. Proficiency in at least one modern web framework (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js) and backend technologies (.NET Core, Node.js, etc.)
. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and RESTful APIs
. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
. Understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies
. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
. Strong written and verbal communication skills
. Eligibility for federal background investigation and compliance with security requirements (U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency with 3+ years residency)
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
. Exposure to DevSecOps practices and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, NUnit)
. Knowledge of database technologies (SQL Server, Sybase, SAP HANA)
. Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards and inclusive design
. Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in regulated environments
. Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or relevant technical areas

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $52,200.00 - $123,800.00.
