Job description

Overview
The Student Web Development Assistant will support the design, development, and maintenance of departmental websites. This position is ideal for a student with experience in HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) who is interested in creating user-friendly, visually appealing web content while collaborating with faculty and staff on website improvements.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, edit, and maintain website content using HTML and CSS.
  • Implement website design updates while ensuring consistency with university branding and accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with departmental staff to identify, prioritize, and implement requested website enhancements.
  • Attend meetings with project teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, document requested changes, and provide technical input on website functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic website formatting and styling issues.
  • Test website updates across multiple browsers and devices to ensure functionality and responsiveness.
  • Assist with ongoing website organization, content updates, and quality assurance.

Qualifications
Enrolled student at Auburn University
Valid Driver's License
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Current undergraduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Ability to translate design concepts into functional web pages.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
