Description:
Our client is looking for a Senior Web Designer to participate in and lead
the design, development, layout, and coding of a newly developed website.
They will develop and design the overall web experience for all
stakeholders. As part of this project, candidate will contribute to digital
media strategic initiatives and serve as a subject-matter expert on website
design and layout.
Tasks
*       Contributes to website strategy and recommends changes to leadership
*       Develops and designs the overall navigation flow, layout of specific
pages, and creation of individual graphic elements; ensures that all design
elements, templates, and finished solutions work within a variety of browser
types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and
design
*       Develops and implements strategic digital media initiatives,
priorities, objectives, and best practices in collaboration with leadership
and other functional work units
*       Implements graphical and style standards for websites
*       Evaluates and implements open source and commercial products to meet
project needs
*       Serves as a subject matter expert, consultant, and main point of
contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding website and
application options, design, maintenance, and support
Skills Required
3+ years of experience in the following:
*       Experience designing and developing complex, accessible, and useful
web properties using WordPress, following brand and WCAG 2.2 recommendations
and standards
*       Experience working with multiple stakeholders to develop strategic
website projects on a defined timeline
*       Experience using graphic design principles to develop beautifully
alluring and engaging websites
Skills Desired
*       Experience in healthcare, higher education, or scientific research
environments
*       Experience developing and/or deploying database-driven online
applications, enabling content owners and providers to maintain their own
web information
