Title:  WEB CONTENT SPECIALIST
Location: Vienna, VA (Hybrid)
Duration: Initial 6 months contract with extensions
Compensation: $ 37 - 44.50 per hour

Basic Purpose / Description

To assist in the development and maintenance of Navy Federal''s digital content strategy across web and mobile channels. This role supports the implementation and optimization of digital experiences that drive usability, relevance, member engagement, and alignment with corporate marketing and brand objectives.

Required knowledge includes Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, taxonomy, digital asset management, content management systems (CMS), search engine optimization (SEO), and digital best practices.

This role collaborates closely with Marketing, UX, Digital teams, internal business units, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate implementation of digital content enhancements that support business needs and member experience.

Responsibilities

  • Author, QA, and publish digital content within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Create, edit, test, optimize, and evaluate digital experiences across web and mobile channels
  • Analyze content performance, testing outcomes, and optimization results; provide recommendations for future enhancements
  • Partner with UX and Digital teams as the content management lead for new features and enhancements
  • Conduct content audits across digital channels to ensure alignment with approved content strategy and business goals
  • Support the creation, maintenance, and execution of the digital content calendar
  • Recommend changes to improve usability, interactivity, site functionality, and member engagement
  • Serve as subject matter expert for mobile content management, including documentation and training for internal contributors
  • Represent the Web & Content Strategy team in meetings with internal business partners and marketing stakeholders
  • Ensure all content complies with brand standards, marketing style guides, legal requirements, and governance expectations
  • Track digital enhancement implementations and ensure deadlines are met
  • Partner with internal content authors, designers, and stakeholders to ensure adherence to digital best practices
  • Support additional digital content initiatives as needed

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing content for high-traffic websites using Adobe Experience Manager or similar CMS platforms
  • Experience translating complex concepts, customer needs, and behaviors into intuitive digital experiences
  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics
  • Knowledge of digital usability best practices, interactive design principles, and information architecture
  • Knowledge of SEO strategy and content optimization best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus across cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable navigating multiple systems, applications, and emerging digital technologies

Preferred:

  • Experience with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, and/or Google Analytics
  • Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript familiarity
  • Experience working with multiple content management systems
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced digital, marketing, or agency-like environment
