Responsibilities

The Senior Web Content Writer is responsible for providing textual content for TEA websites that enable us to communicate with stakeholders clearly, accurately, and appropriately.ย Duties include:

  • conducting research on relevant topics and strategies used by other states or agencies on comparable projects
  • defining content strategies for presenting complex information clearly and usably for the relevant audience
  • writing, editing, and fact-checking content prior to publication
  • collaborating with cross-divisional and cross-agency teams to align content with stakeholder needs
  • utilizing agency standards to maintain consistent branding and tone across all touchpoints
  • editing content for clarity, grammar, and tone
  • reviewing and enhancing the website for performance, design, SEO, and user experience, providing ongoing updates and recommendations, including dynamic project updates
  • managing project timelines and meeting deadlines successfully

The Senior Web Content Writer works closely with other members of their team, including subject matter experts, UI/UX designers, business analysts, developers, and testers. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a variety of complicated tasks; a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The successful applicant will be organized, resourceful, and creative, with the ability to work independently while staying aligned with the team.
