Responsibilities - Assemble and solder printed circuit boards (PCBs) using manual and selective soldering techniques for various components including SMT, BGA, QFN, CSP, and through-hole.
- Conduct thorough visual inspections using microscopes and AOI equipment to identify and correct solder defects, ensuring compliance with IPC A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC 2221/2222 standards. - Validate solder paste, flux, and other materials to meet strict quality specifications. - Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements for soldering, tooling, and work instructions.
- Maintain a safe workplace by following all safety protocols and proper handling of hazardous materials. - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and continuous process improvement. Required Skills and Experience - Minimum 2 years of hands-on solder assembly in a production environment.
- Proficiency with IPC standards (IPC A-610, J-STD-001, etc.). - Skilled in manual soldering and inspection of component sizes ranging from 0201 to 1206, including BGAs and QFNs. - Experience with both SMT and through-hole mixed technology boards.
- Familiarity with soldering tools (soldering iron, hot air gun, reflow oven, wave solder machine). - Strong visual inspection abilities using microscopes and AOI equipment. - Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication.
- High school diploma or GED required. Preferred Skills - Technical or vocational training in electronics assembly. - Knowledge of lead-free and RoHS-compliant processes.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and yield analysis.
