Job description

We are seeking an experienced, highly independent Lead Water Mitigation & Restoration Technician to handle emergency field dispatches on a part-time, on-call basis. This position is ideal for an established industry professional looking for excellent secondary income, flexibility, or an on-call schedule. As the lead technician on-site, you will be the face of the company, responsible for initial diagnostics, stabilization,extraction, and setting up the drying environment. You must be comfortable working independently and executing the necessary documentation from the field.


Key Responsibilities Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency water mitigation dispatches within our target service windows. Site Assessment & Diagnostics: Utilize smart thermal cameras, pin/pinless moisture meters, and thermo-hygrometers to map water migration and establish dry standards. Physical Mitigation: Execute professional water extraction (including heavy sub-surface carpet/pad extraction), place containment barriers, and perform structural drying equipment setups (LGR dehumidifiers and air movers) per IICRC standards. Digital Documentation: Flawlessly execute our field data collection protocol using the Encircle mobile app. This includes capturing baseline/source photos, inputting daily psychrometric/moisture logs, and digital equipment mapping. Client & Legal Protocol: Maintain excellent communication with homeowners during a crisis. Ensure all digital paperwork—including Work Authorizations and Direction of Payment forms—are thoroughly explained and signed before commencing work.


Qualifications & Requirements Certification: Active IICRC WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician) certification is highly preferred, but significant verifiable field experience will be considered. Availability: Must be willing to participate in a flexible, rotating 24/7 emergency on-call schedule (including nights and weekends). Proficient with technology: Must be highly proficient using smartphone apps (Encircle, time-tracking software) to document work in real-time. Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs routinely, maneuver heavy commercial equipment (like XL LGR dehumidifiers), and perform physical labor (extraction, moving furniture, setup) independently. Background: Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and pass a standard background check.
