Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Full-Time Behavioral Health Prescriber with our Medical Services Department, earning $57.65–$121.64/hour. Based in Provo, Utah, this onsite position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing high-quality psychiatric care to individuals across Utah County. This role includes occasional travel to support contracted programs and facilities while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to compassionate, client-centered behavioral health services. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $57.65–$121.64 DOE and Licensure

What You'll Do as a Behavioral Health Prescriber

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management services
  • Develop and review individualized treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
  • Monitor client progress and adjust medications and treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with therapists, nurses, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct patient interviews, review medical histories, and interpret laboratory results as needed
  • Supervise and consult with staff involved in treatment delivery
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support client-centered behavioral health care throughout Utah County

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution and/or Doctorate degree (M.D. or D.O.) in Psychiatry or a closely related field
  • Current licensure in the State of Utah required (APRN, MD, or DO preffered)
  • National nursing accreditation certification
  • Current DEA license or the ability to obtain one
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered behavioral health care
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review, and criminal background check required
  • Completion of Utah BCI clearance required after hire
  • Official licensure documentation must be submitted upon conditional offer of employment
  • Spanish-speaking candidates may qualify for a wage increase
