Position Overview

A leading luxury furniture and home staging company in South Gate is urgently seeking a dependable Warehouse Scanner to support its dock and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on temp-to-hire position responsible for scanning and tracking furniture, décor, and other inventory as products move through the warehouse.

This position is ideal for someone with warehouse experience who is comfortable using handheld scanners, working on a busy dock, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use handheld scanners to scan and track inventory moving through the dock.
  • Verify items are accurately recorded during inbound and outbound movement.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory and product location information.
  • Identify and report scanning errors, missing items, or inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and dock personnel to ensure inventory is properly processed.
  • Assist with organizing and locating products within the warehouse.
  • Follow established procedures for inventory movement and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all warehouse and workplace safety procedures.
  • Perform additional warehouse support duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, scanning, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Comfortable using handheld scanners or similar warehouse technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and dock environment.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be available to work the full 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule.

Compensation & Opportunity
