Warehouse Associate

We consider our Warehouse Associates to be a vital cornerstone of our success. By maintaining the seamless flow of our day-to-day operations, they play a crucial role in empowering us to deliver unparalleled value to our customers. We are looking for both Full-Time and Part – Time Warehouse Worker to assist in our Distribution HUB, loading and unloading new caskets onto our trucks for delivery. Matthews International is a world wide leader in casket manufacturing, providing the highest quality wood, metal and cremation caskets, as well as urns, memorial jewelry and other products to our funeral home customers. This position will be responsible for unloading and loading new caskets onto and off our vehicles. Additionally, you will be tasked with preparations for deliveries and providing valuable support in diverse warehouse

SHIFT INFO AND PAY: Full – Time: This shift starts at 7am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday (with occasional Saturday shifts based on work volume), with a starting pay rate of $20-hourly. Part – Time : Flexible schedule, starting at 7am. Available to work 3-4 days or 5 days a week, ending around noon. $20-hourly.

Job Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading caskets and other memorialization products from our various production facilities.
  • Preparing products for delivery and unloading products to be stored in our warehouse.
  • Scanning products, pulling correct orders and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. 1+ years of previous warehouse experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work 5-6 hour shifts being on your feet, walking, pushing, pulling products. Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

Additional Qualifications / Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. • 1+ years of previous warehouse experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications. • Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills. • Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning). • Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts. • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients. • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. • Ability to work with and influence peers and management. • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch. • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
