Job description

The Planner/Scheduler will conduct regular reviews of transaction data within SAP to ensure that both internal and external customer expectations are consistently met. This role involves proactive communication and collaboration with the warehouse coordinator, supervisor, and manager to support seamless operations. Additionally, the Planner/Scheduler will be assigned special projects within the warehouse as necessary.

The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to interpret general directives and translate them into specific, actionable outcomes. They are also skilled in independently identifying and resolving issues with minimal supervision, escalating only when necessary to the supervisor or manager.

Shift: 1st- 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Complies with all safety policies and procedures
  • Monitors warehouse order flow within SAP and communicates to leadership as needed 
  • Releases all deliveries, while effectively communicating to leadership team as needed 
  • Constant email & telephone engagement with customer service.  This will supply internal/external customers with immediate contact to the warehouses, enhancing response time and successfully meeting customer’s expectations. 
  • Constant communication (email & telephone) with carrier network.
  • Monitor and close all manual deliveries including international, will-call, and deliveries confirmed to have shipped but not confirmed by system. 
  • Daily/hourly review of key transactions within SAP, and communicates any issue to supervisor/manager
  • Prepares documents in accordance with applicable policy and procedures. 
  • Frequent activity within warehouse operation, including product validation (QC), paperwork verification, and lifting of product when applicable.  
  • Keeps work areas clean and organized.  

 Required Skills/Education

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations or comparable experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management practices in a distribution environment
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • SAP LES, WMS or other ERP WH systems
  • Problem solving
  • Physical inventory control including cycle counting and physical inventories
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft office products
