Job description

The Opportunity
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a well-established, employee-owned organization during a pivotal period of operational transformation. You will serve as a key operational leader responsible for driving the day-to-day execution of one of the largest and fastest-evolving distribution centers. Partnering closely with the Distribution Director, this role will focus on leading warehouse operations, developing front-line leadership, driving KPI performance, improving inventory accuracy, strengthening safety culture, and creating the operational discipline needed to support continued growth.
This position is ideal for a hands-on operations leader who enjoys leading from the floor, developing people, solving complex operational challenges, and building sustainable processes that drive long-term success.
About the Company
The company is a premier, 100-year-old employee-owned technology distributor and supply chain partner that has successfully transitioned into a multi-faceted logistics leader. Their unique model is fully powered by employee co-owners who are deeply invested in the long-term success, collaborative culture, and community impact of the organization. By joining this forward-thinking team, you will be part of a stable yet rapidly expanding business that prioritizes sustainable practices and rewards genuine transformation.
The Location
This role is fully onsite at the distribution facility in Newnan, Georgia, situated approximately 25 minutes south of the Atlanta Airport. Located within a vital southeastern logistics corridor, this thriving region offers a great quality of life and easy accessibility from many desirable surrounding suburbs, making it an ideal hub for a local leader who understands regional market dynamics.
What You Will Do
  • Lead the day-to-day execution of warehouse operations across assigned functional areas.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor Operations Managers, Supervisors, Team Leads, and hourly associates.
  • Drive operational performance through KPI management, data analysis, root cause identification, and corrective action planning.
  • Build a culture centered on accountability, safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Lead labor planning, staffing optimization, productivity management, and workforce capacity planning.
  • Partner closely with the Distribution Director to execute strategic initiatives while maintaining operational stability.
  • Improve inventory accuracy, quality performance, and process consistency across the operation.
  • Support both traditional distribution and growing 3PL/e-commerce fulfillment operations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Inventory Control, Transportation, Safety, Quality, and Customer Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, safety, and regulatory standards while maintaining a highly engaged workforce.

Who You Are
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience within high-volume distribution, logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading 3PL fulfillment operations with responsibility for customer service levels and operational performance.
  • Experience leading large, multi-level operations teams including Operations Managers, Supervisors, and hourly associates.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse KPIs, labor planning, productivity management, inventory control, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop leaders while driving accountability and operational execution.
  • Experience managing labor planning, productivity, and operational financial metrics.
  • Strong safety leadership with a proactive approach to risk identification and prevention.
  • Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), labor management systems, and operational reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and deep professional experience.
The ideal candidate is an operationally driven leader who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, developing leaders, solving problems, and creating consistency through disciplined execution. This individual leads with urgency, coaches rather than commands, and uses KPIs to improve performance rather than simply measure it. They understand that operational excellence comes from building capable leaders, developing strong processes, and maintaining a relentless focus on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Leadership is looking for someone who can balance people development with operational discipline while helping prepare the next generation of leaders within the organization.
Flexibility & Work-Life Integration
  • Work Structure: Fully Onsite
  • Schedule: Full-time leadership schedule with flexibility to support multiple shifts and operational demands
  • Environment: High-volume distribution, e-commerce fulfillment, and 3PL operation supporting dynamic customer requirements

Why Join the Team?
This position offers an incredible opportunity to join a respected, employee-owned organization at a pivotal stage of operational transformation and long-term growth, while sharing directly in the company's success through a highly lucrative Employee Stock Ownership Plan and robust 401k program. The organization provides an exceptional, comprehensive benefits package including premium medical, dental, and vision coverage, generous paid time off, tuition assistance, gym reimbursements, and a specialized employee purchase program. You will join an empowering, collaborative environment that rejects temporary fixes in favor of rewarding dedicated leaders who build lasting operational excellence.
