Job description

Vulcan Industries has been providing merchandising display solutions for 80 years. Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating various machines used to cut, form, bend, shape, and spot-weld fabricated metal parts according to production work orders and specification sheets. This role includes monitoring machinery, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Production Machinery (press brake, spotwelder, etc.) 
  • Scales and measuring equipment 
  • Tape measure and gauges 
  • Computer system/scanner  
Essential Job Function
  • Operate production machinery to manufacture metal parts 
  • Read and interpret work orders and product specifications 
  • Monitor machines to ensure proper operation and output  
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy  
  • Record production data (employee number, work order, part number, scrap, etc.)  
  • Use computer systems for tracking and reporting  
  • Stack and package finished products appropriately  
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area (housekeeping)  
  • Report to work consistently and on time
