The Vice President, Enterprise Technical Operations provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Acosta's core technology execution capabilities, including Cloud & Infrastructure Operations, Software Engineering, and Data Management Solutions. This role ensures technology platforms are secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective to support enterprise-wide business operations. As a member of the senior IT leadership team, the role partners with business and IT leaders to translate business strategy into dependable technology outcomes while driving operational excellence, engineering discipline, and the development of high-performing technical teams.

  • 10 or more years of progressive leadership experience across enterprise technology operations, including cloud & infrastructure, software engineering, and data platforms.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with an expectation of regular onsite presence (typically 3 days per week) to support leadership effectiveness, collaboration, and team engagement.

  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex, multidomain technology organizations at the Director or Vice President level, with accountability for multiple functional leaders.

  • Deep understanding of modern cloud technologies, software engineering practices, and enterprise data ecosystems, with the ability to engage technically when required without operating as a handson practitioner.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution, shifting seamlessly between longterm planning and nearterm delivery challenges.

  • Proven ability to oversee a broad portfolio of IT operations, balancing reliability, cost, scalability, and modernization across cloud services, application engineering, data platforms, and enterprise integrations.

  • Executive presence with the ability to represent the CTO, translate complex technical concepts into businessrelevant outcomes, and partner effectively with senior business and IT leaders.

  • Strong background in financial stewardship, including operating and capital budgets, vendor and partner management, and thirdparty service delivery.

  • Experience leading enterprise technology transformation initiatives while maintaining operational stability and service continuity.

  • Highly collaborative leadership style, with a track record of leading leaders, coaching mixedmaturity teams, and driving accountability through influence rather than control.

  • Proven capability to lead through change, elevate operational maturity, and strengthen execution discipline across complex organizations.

 Cloud & Infrastructure Operations 

  • Provide executive leadership for hybrid cloud and infrastructure environments, including data centers, cloud platforms, and core enterprise services. 
  • Ensure availability, performance, security, and resilience of infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations. 
  • Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity planning, and infrastructure risk management. 
  • Drive cloud adoption, modernization, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives. 
  • Manage infrastructure vendor relationships, contracts, SLAs, and cost optimization (CapEx and OpEx).  

Software Engineering 

  • Lead enterprise software engineering organizations responsible for application development, modernization, and operational support. 
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, SDLC practices, and quality frameworks aligned with enterprise architecture. 
  • Champion DevOps, CI/CD, and automation practices to improve delivery speed, quality, and reliability. 
  • Ensure engineering solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business and product strategies. 
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to prioritize and deliver technology solutions that enable business outcomes.  

Data Management Solutions 

  • Provide executive oversight for data platforms, data engineering, and data management solutions. 
  • Ensure reliable, scalable, and secure data ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption across the enterprise. 
  • Partner with analytics and business teams to enable trusted, high-quality data for reporting and decision-making. 
  • Support enterprise data governance initiatives through operational standards, platform reliability, and data quality practices. 
  • Lead the evolution and maturity of enterprise data platform capabilities.  

Operational Excellence & Leadership 

  • Own operational performance across technical domains, including service delivery, incident management, and platform reliability. 
  • Establish operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting to drive continuous improvement. 
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets with fiscal responsibility. 
  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing leaders and technical talent. 
  • Lead organizational change initiatives supporting technology modernization and business transformation. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology operations, risk, and readiness.
