Job Overview

LPL's Business Solutions (LBS) team is seeking a VP Strategy who will join our team. LPL's Business Solutions creates a range of self-service, consulting, and execution-based solutions and services to support our 30,000 institutional and advisor clients. We allow them to outsource business operator functions, including but not limited to; administrative, marketing, and other tasks and technology-related aspects of running their small business to grow faster, more securely and operate more efficiently. Your scope includes driving forward the overall portfolio strategy, including Pricing, Platform, and Data Strategy that complements our expanded access Strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the SVP- Strategy & Operations for LBS to lead strategic initiatives and data strategy for Business Solutions, including subscription and non-subscription based solutions.
  • Lead pricing strategy for portfolio of solutions
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders across LBS, FP&A, Business Line Strategy, and Client Success teams to get qualitative and quantitative data to design and/or enhance existing pricing constructs to better achieve business goals
  • Lead annual pricing analysis and provide recommendations for strategic adjustments for upcoming fiscal year
  • Lead key strategic initiatives that have applicability across all of LBS in partnership with LBS leadership team
  • Own LBS 3-year strategic roadmap while providing input on and adhering to mid and long term product roadmaps, key features/capabilities, and manage the development cycles with clear schedules, deliverables and milestones
  • Implementation of automation solutions and other technology in the search for more efficient tasks and processes.
  • Lead process improvements linked to the increase in efficacy & efficiency of our products and solutions.
  • Determine and own on-going management of business strategy metrics, KPIs and reports that will allow the measurement of solutions impact across LPL (LPL SSS, LPL NPS, Monetization referrals- L&S, Realignment impact)
  • Evolve as necessary and own the on-going delivery of operational efficiency dashboards to provide visibility into the operational health of our business unit (product satisfaction, customer retention, employee productivity, drivers of unit economics, etc.)
  • Support product operations teams as necessary with demand planning model to drive optimal staffing levels by incorporating sales projections, employee on-boarding and ramp to full productivity
  • Support Board and Executive presentations to communicate impact, opportunities and challenges within Business Solutions product set

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in leading high performing data, business strategy, and/or related teams
  • 5+ years in the Wealth Management industry, with familiarity across all advisor mediated spaces
  • 3+ years working with senior and executive leadership to develop and maintain a rolling, cross-domain investment roadmap
  • 2+ years of working with Salesforce or Salesforce service cloud as a ticketing system or task management system

Preferences:

  • MBA preferred
  • Experience in Corporate Strategy or Business Strategy roles within Financial Services a plus
  • Previous experience working with internal/B2B team tools, call-center tools
  • Previous experience in process management, process improvement, quality improvement, or continuous improvement

Pay Range:

$145,436.00 - $242,359.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
