Job description
Proper Hospitality is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President, Revenue to lead and grow total revenue performance across our portfolio of luxury lifestyle hotels. This role requires a proven revenue leader with deep expertise in luxury and boutique hotel revenue management, a strong network of commercial and distribution partners, and a passion for building high-performing teams.
You will be accountable for the portfolio's overall revenue strategy, pricing and distribution execution, forecasting discipline, and the development of property-level revenue leaders. As a key member of our commercial leadership team, you will drive top-line growth, inspire cross-functional collaboration, and ensure a disciplined, guest-centric approach to revenue optimization that positions Proper for long-term success.
We're looking for someone who wants to put their stamp on a growing portfolio - someone energized by complexity, motivated by results, and committed to leading with both discipline and heart.
What You Will Work On
- Lead enterprise revenue strategy across the portfolio with accountability for RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, total revenue, and profit contribution at every property.
- Set and drive clear performance goals, define success metrics, and hold property-level Directors of Revenue accountable for execution and forecast accuracy.
- Inspire and mentor a portfolio revenue team by injecting energy, promoting collaboration, and removing obstacles to performance.
- Develop and execute pricing, segmentation, and channel mix strategies that align with each property's brand positioning and Proper's overall commercial vision.
- Build and deepen strategic partnerships with key distribution partners, OTAs, GDS, consortia, wholesale, and luxury travel networks (Virtuoso, AMEX FHR, Signature, and others).
- Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and demand calendar management, using advanced revenue analytics and revenue management systems to inform commercial planning and ownership reporting.
- Lead total revenue management thinking across all revenue streams - rooms, F&B, spa, events, and ancillary - partnering with operations and the SVP of F&B to maximize outlet and group profitability.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Digital, and Brand leaders to drive an integrated commercial strategy and unified go-to-market plans.
- Lead revenue strategy for new openings, conversions, and ramp-up properties, including pre-opening pricing, distribution setup, and stabilization planning.
- Serve as a trusted thought partner to executive leadership, ownership groups, asset managers, and brand partners on revenue performance, market positioning, and growth opportunities.
- Own the revenue management technology stack, including RMS, CRS, channel manager, and reporting tools, ensuring the right capabilities are in place to scale.
- Champion a high-performance commercial culture focused on excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Lead with empathy and integrity, demonstrating high emotional intelligence, excellent presentation skills, and a strong ability to engage and inspire teams.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree, HSMAI CRME, or related certification preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive revenue management experience in luxury or lifestyle hospitality, including multi-property oversight and direct accountability for portfolio top-line performance.
- Proven success building and managing high-performing revenue teams across a portfolio of independent, soft-branded, or boutique luxury hotels.
- Strong track record delivering results in competitive urban and resort markets, with experience navigating mixed ownership structures (independent, management agreement, joint venture).
- Deep expertise across the following areas:
- - Revenue strategy, pricing, and segmentation
- - Distribution, channel mix, and OTA/GDS/wholesale management
- - Forecasting, budgeting, and demand calendar discipline
- - Total revenue management across rooms, F&B, spa, and ancillary
- - Revenue management systems, CRS, and commercial technology
- - Leadership development and team leadership
- A strong leadership presence with the ability to drive clarity, create alignment, and inspire action across properties and corporate.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across hotel teams, executive leadership, ownership groups, and brand partners.
- Demonstrated ability to drive vision and purpose, motivate teams, and foster deep engagement at every level of the organization.
- A proven track record in decision quality, commercial strategy execution, and leading change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- High emotional intelligence, strong business acumen, and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- Ability to travel across the portfolio as required.
Reporting and Key Partnerships
- Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer (or designated commercial executive).
- Direct reports: Portfolio and property-level Directors of Revenue.
- Key partners: Operations, Sales, Marketing, Digital, Brand, Finance, F&B leadership, ownership groups, and brand partners.
