Job Description:
Role Summary:
The VP, Pharmacy Services will report to OneOncology's Chief Medical Officer. This role will set the standard for drug and therapeutics management and oversee all Pharmacy-related services provided by OneOncology. The VP, Pharmacy Servicesprovides leadership and direction to the organization and platform's pharmacy staff through personnel performance, coordination, oversight and/or delegation. The VP, PS oversees the Strategic development, standardization and management of all pharmacy services provided by OneOncology.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all clinical matters related to drug management, strategic pharma and the Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee initiatives
  • Motivates, coaches, and leads Pharmacy team to ensure strategic and operational goals are met
  • Leads the OneOncology Pathways Program ensuring the adherence to highest standards of efficacy, toxicity, and cost for drug management
  • Clinical dyad with SVP, Pharma Relations to serve as the liaison for all corporate pharmacy decisions and content expert for the OneOncology Pathways Program
  • Responsible for all corporate pharmacy processes including clinical evaluation of all drugs receiving new approvals, new indications, or publication of new data on behalf of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee
  • Work closely with OneOncology operations team to ensure the coordination of all OneOncology pharmacy services across the network
  • Serves as OneOncology subject matter expert (SME) on all pharmacy-related issues
  • Collaborates with the corporate Operations and Analytics team to monitor adherence and variance from OneOncology pathway regimens and strategic pharma initiatives
  • Ensures highest regulatory and accreditation standards possible through specialty pharmacy practices
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Required or Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy degree required
  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (preferred)
  • Experience managing pharmacy operations for large organization
  • Minimum of 10 years of oncology experience required
  • Minimum 10 years in specialty pharmacy experience required
  • Experience in oncology pathway development/management

Essential Competencies:
  • Demonstrated track record of strong pharmacy operations results in the oncology field
  • Expert knowledge of cancer medications, dosing, side effects, indications, contraindications and proper administration and storage with ability to access resources as required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with infusion reimbursement and payer landscape including medical and Pharmacy Benefit Manager billing practices.
  • Skill in negotiating with and between individuals and groups of people, including team members, management and physicians.
  • Able to use computers and software applications (including standard MS Office products and Pharmacy Management System applications)
  • Knowledge of medical & pharmacy benefit billing practices
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements.
  • Knowledge of clinical procedures or operations.
  • Experience designing and managing a large P&T Committee in an oncology practice, health system, academic center or provider network
  • Strong people skills for daily management of pharmacy staff and customer interactions
  • Excellent Project management skills with an emphasis on detail and follow through
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills
