At Legacy Community Health, we're looking for a visionary leader to join our family as the Vice President of Pharmacy Operations. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee and refine all aspects of non-clinical pharmacy operations, from retail pharmacy management to the 340B drug pricing program. You'll work hand-in-hand with our VP of Clinical Pharmacy Services to ensure that every process, system, and strategy aligns with Legacy's commitment to delivering affordable, high-quality care. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all non-clinical pharmacy operations, including retail pharmacy, supply chain, information systems, and the 340B drug pricing program.
  • Ensure compliance and optimize performance for the 340B program, managing contract pharmacy relationships and third-party administrator performance.
  • Develop and implement a multi-year strategy for retail pharmacy growth, operational efficiency, and enhanced patient satisfaction.
  • Streamline processes in the Pharmacy Call Center and Central Fill operations to improve patient experiences.
  • Design and manage workflows to ensure efficiency and responsiveness to patient needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement initiatives that increase patient access, prescription volume, and financial sustainability.
  • Develop standardized processes to improve care coordination across pharmacy services.
  • Ensure alignment with HRSA grant requirements and compliance as an RW/HRSA grantee.
  • Leverage information systems and technology to enhance patient outcomes and business performance.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Represent Legacy at conferences and meetings, serving as a speaker or panelist when needed.
  • Support Legacy's mission and goals through additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS Pharmacy or PharmD degree
  • Advanced Degree Preferred, MBA/MHA/MPH
  • Ten (10) years of Pharmacy experience, including at least six (6) years in a leadership position with established record for implementing appropriate programs and achieving organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial and quality management
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience leading and developing a large team of staff and leaders.
  • Proven experience leading large, complex pharmacy operations, including oversight of multi-site and/or multi-service models such as retail pharmacies, central fill, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong financial management expertise in pharmacy operations, including pharmacy margin optimization, inventory management, financial performance, and cost containment strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing pharmacy leadership teams, with experience in talent development, engagement, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Proven strategic planning and change-management capabilities, including experience
  • translating organizational and departmental strategy into measurable operational, financial, and quality outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and State/Federal laws governing medical and pharmacy services.
  • Working knowledge of the 340B program and applicable regulations
  • Exceptional leadership, mediation abilities, and multi-tasking skills required.
  • Working knowledge of statistics and graphical representation principles.
  • Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, and office management system software, including the Microsoft Suite.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize
  • This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management
  • Deep understanding of FQHC pharmacy operations, including Ryan White, HRSA grant requirements, and safety-net population needs.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex pharmacy operations, including multi-site or multi-service models (e.g., retail, central fill, call center)
  • Advanced financial acumen, including pharmacy margin management, inventory optimization, and contract pharmacy financial performance.
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing leadership teams, with a focus on engagement and succession.
  • Strong strategic planning and change-management skills, with experience translating strategy into measurable operational outcomes
