VP, Community Engagement (Global)

Role Overview
Rubix is seeking a VP of Community Engagement to shape and lead a global program that strengthens our position as a trusted partner in the communities where we develop and operate AI and digital infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of business growth, reputation, and social impact ensuring community strategy directly enables expansion while delivering meaningful, measurable outcomes locally.
The VP will define how Rubix integrates into communities globally by building scalable frameworks, guiding market-level execution, and embedding community insight into development and operational decision-making. You will act as a senior advisor on community sentiment and risk, lead data-driven approaches to understand local needs, and translate those insights into strategic programs and partnerships.
This is a highly cross-functional and externally facing role, requiring strong leadership, stakeholder influence, and the ability to balance long-term strategy with hands-on execution in priority markets.
Rubix is part of the Submer Group, delivering the infrastructure and platforms AI runs on.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the global community engagement strategy, ensuring alignment with infrastructure growth, site expansion, and long-term business objectives

  • Develop scalable frameworks and playbooks that enable consistent, high-quality engagement across regions while allowing for local adaptation

  • Lead community assessments, translating insights into strategies and programs that deliver measurable social and business impact

  • Serve as a senior advisor on community sentiment and reputational risk, proactively identifying and mitigating issues tied to development, construction, and operations

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with community leaders, government officials, NGOs, and key stakeholders, representing Rubix in external forums and consultations

  • Design and oversee flagship programs and partnerships that strengthen local ecosystems and support Rubix's presence

  • Partner cross-functionally with Development, Construction, Operations, Public Policy, Sustainability, Legal, and Communications to embed community strategy into core business processes

  • Establish impact measurement and reporting frameworks, communicating outcomes, risks, and insights to senior leadership and driving continuous improvement globally

Qualifications
  • Experience in community engagement, public affairs, CSR, or stakeholder relations
  • Experience supporting infrastructure, energy, real estate, or data center development
  • Strong expertise in issues management and stakeholder strategy
  • Proven ability to build programs that deliver both social impact and business value
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and cross-functional leadership skills

Preferred
  • Experience in hyperscale data centers, AI infrastructure, or large-scale development environments
  • International experience leading multi-region programs
  • Background in ESG, corporate affairs, or community investment strategy
