Job description

The Role Plexus is entering an important next chapter of growth and brand evolution. With continued investment in innovation, science, and the gut health category, we have an opportunity to reintroduce Plexus to the marketplace and build a distinctive, relevant, credible brand built for the future. The Vice President, Brand Marketing will lead that transformation.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this executive will define and elevate how Plexus looks, sounds, and shows up globally. The VP will establish a compelling brand identity and narrative, translate that strategy into exceptional consumer and Ambassador experiences, and ensure consistent execution across every major touchpoint.

This role is not limited to brand stewardship. We are looking for a builder and change leader who combines exceptional creative judgment with commercial discipline. The successful candidate will strengthen the brand while showing how brand strategy contributes to customer acquisition, loyalty, retention, engagement, and long-term growth.

Because the success of Plexus' independent sales force is central to our mission, this leader must also understand how to build a consumer-relevant brand that gives our ambassadors a powerful, credible, and compelling story to share.

Employee Value Proposition

Plexus is at an inflection point. We are investing in innovation and science and strengthening our position in gut health and wellness. The foundation exists, but there is significant opportunity to elevate how the brand is expressed and experienced. For the right brand leader, this is a rare opportunity to help shape a global brand rather than simply inherit one. Over the next several years, our ambition is for substantially more consumers to know who Plexus is, understand what makes us different, and recognize the brand for its distinctive point of view, products, science, community, and impact. The VP, Brand Marketing will have the executive sponsorship and organizational reach to help make that happen.

Key Performance Objectives
  1. Define and Elevate the Plexus Brand Within 90-120 days, establish a differentiated global brand strategy defining Plexus' positioning, ideal customer, visual identity, voice, and story.
  2. Transform How Plexus Shows Up Within 6 months, elevate the brand look, feel, voice, and creative execution across digital, social, product, field, and experiential touchpoints.
  3. Build a Modern Social and Campaign Engine Develop an integrated marketing and social strategy that creates culturally relevant storytelling, drives engagement, and brings brand and product priorities to life.
  4. Drive Brand-Led Business Growth Connect brand strategy and marketing investments to customer acquisition, loyalty, repeat purchase, retention, and Ambassador engagement.
  5. Build a High-Performing Brand Organization Build and lead the team, capabilities, agency partnerships, and operating model required to deliver the future Plexus brand.
Performance Accountabilities
  • Own the Global Brand: Establish and maintain clear standards for Plexus' positioning, visual identity, voice, and storytelling, ensuring consistent execution across markets and channels.
  • Turn Strategy into Results: Translate CMO and business priorities into focused brand strategies, campaigns, and initiatives with clear objectives, timelines, and measures of success.
  • Raise the Creative Bar: Set a high standard for creative excellence and ensure work is distinctive, emotionally compelling, consumer-relevant, and aligned with the Plexus brand.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution: Build strong partnerships across Product, Digital, Sales, Communications, and international markets to deliver integrated initiatives on time and with measurable impact.
  • Champion the Customer and Ambassador: Use customer insights, field feedback, and performance data to improve brand experiences, storytelling, and engagement.
  • Balance Global Consistency and Local Relevance: Establish clear brand guardrails while partnering with international leaders to determine where localization will improve market effectiveness.
  • Build and Lead a High-Performing Team: Establish clear expectations and accountability, develop talent, address performance gaps, and create a culture of speed, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Measure and Optimize Performance: Establish meaningful brand and marketing KPIs, regularly evaluate results, and adjust strategies and investments based on performance and business impact.
Performance Qualifications
  • Build and transform brands: 15+ years of progressive brand marketing experience with a track record of repositioning, modernizing, or scaling consumer brands, ideally within health, wellness, and gut health space.
  • Lead at the executive level: 5+ years in senior leadership (VP) with demonstrated success setting strategy, influencing executives, and translating business priorities into measurable marketing outcomes.
  • Create distinctive brand experiences: Proven ability to elevate brand positioning, visual identity, voice, storytelling, and creative execution across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Drive measurable growth: Demonstrated success connecting brand and marketing strategies to outcomes such as awareness, acquisition, engagement, loyalty, repeat purchase, and retention.
  • Build high-perform-ting teams: Proven experience leading and developing multidisciplinary brand and creative teams across design, content, copy, video, social, and integrated campaigns.
  • Operate globally and cross-functionally: Demonstrated ability to partner across Product, Digital, Sales, and international markets while balancing global brand consistency with local market needs.
  • Combine creative judgment with commercial discipline: Exceptional taste and storytelling instincts paired with strong analytical skills, business acumen, urgency, and accountability for results.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA, master's degree, or equivalent advanced education preferred.
