Key Responsibilities
- Act as the finance seat operators actually call. You sit shoulder to shoulder with market and facility leadership across Arizona, connecting the numbers to the decisions in front of them and the care being delivered in the buildings
- Own the day-to-day accounting function inside the Phoenix service center, close cycle through year end, in line with GAAP and company standards
- Keep the balance sheet clean and the reconciliations tight, with an internal control environment that holds up under scrutiny
- Grow and develop the Phoenix-based accounting and finance team, and build processes that scale as the portfolio does
- Own the forecast, define the metrics that matter, and drive multi-year planning for the Arizona portfolio
- Build reporting and dashboards that show operators how reimbursement is moving, where labor is trending, what is actually driving performance, etc.
- Build the financial models behind acquisitions, hospital partnerships, integrations, and other growth plays across Arizona.
- Serve as the finance face to hospital district partners, external auditors, regulatory agencies, and consultants
- Keep the portfolio audit ready and current with state and federal healthcare and reimbursement requirements
- Push automation and standardization across the finance organization, and partner with the sister service centers to keep it consistent
Qualifications
- 10+ years leading finance and accounting, including real time in senior-level operational finance
- Direct, operator-side experience inside a healthcare organization is required
- Multi-site healthcare operator experience preferred
- SNF or broader post-acute finance experience strongly preferred; other healthcare multi-site finance experience will be considered
- Demonstrated ability to explain financial concepts to operators who do not live in the numbers
- Experience building or materially growing an accounting or finance team preferred
- Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Workday Financials is a plus
- Hospital district relationship experience a plus
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Phoenix, AZ. This is a fully onsite role with occasional travel
- Pre-employment criminal background screening required
