Job description

The Vernon Hills Park District general volunteer will perform a variety of tasks depending on the area volunteering, it may include working with the public, administrative jobs, or manual labor in parks. The volunteer will be exposed to a broad range of low level parks and recreation situations and experiences meant to provide community service. This position helps to extend the resources in the Vernon Hills Park District to best meet the needs of our residents. This is an unpaid position.

REPORTS TO: Determined by volunteer area

QUALIFICATIONS

Volunteer must be at least 13 years of age. Individuals under the age of 18 must provide a signed parent/guardian consent form. Volunteer must possess a basic knowledge of working well with people, including staff, other volunteers and the public. Volunteer may be required to attend any scheduled training session. Families and community groups are welcome!

Must agree to submit to a background check for those volunteers over 18.
