Job Description

Catch, insert and pack finished products coming off the presses.  Review final product performing a series of quality checks before loading in to trays or bins.  Perform finishing make ready tasks prior to start-ups.  Assist with machine make ready and clean up as needed. Operate the Segbert.  Follow postal guidelines when packing direct mail orders and completing skid tags.

  • Inspect product for quality defects and correct errors as they occur
  • Pack, band, and/or sort product into batches, packets and pallets
  • Count trays on pallet and compare with shipping documents to ensure correct count/weight.
  • Document progress and issues/resolutions to ensure proper reporting across departments/shifts
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for training and supporting new and existing team members.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. - continuously.
  • Ability to exercise basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to read a standard ruler.
  • Ability to visually identify and inspect detailed product for defects.
  • Ability to stand for sustained periods of time.
  • Ability to coordinate hand and foot movements to operate staple machine.
  • Must have the ability to train on 1st Shift.

**CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT**

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $16.00 - $20.40 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include  overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay. RRD's benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.
