Job description

Volunteer Shift Opportunities at our Overnight Shelter, 200 4th St SE Rochester MN 55904:

Intake Help – Evenings daily 7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Intake Shift Volunteers help create a welcoming environment for guests arriving at the shelter. They assist with preparing the shelter, checking guests into their bed and locker, serving dinner, and helping with light clean-up. Their support ensures a smooth, safe and respectful experience for everyone entering the Overnight Shelter.

Exit Help – Mornings daily 6:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

Exit Shift Volunteers play a vital role in helping guests start their day. They assist guests and support them as they access their locker and prepare to leave. After all the guests have departed (by 8am), volunteers help staff with light cleaning and tidying, ensuring the shelter remains a welcoming and safe space for everyone who will stay the following night.
