Job description

POSITION: Volunteer Coach

DEPARTMENT: Athletics

LOCATION: Schools


SUMMARY:

As a Volunteer Coach at Nampa School District, you will play a crucial role in guiding and mentoring athletes. You will work closely with the coaching staff to develop and implement training programs, provide instruction and feedback during practices and games, and foster a positive and supportive team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs tailored to the needs and skill levels of the athletes.
  • Provide instruction, guidance, and feedback to athletes during practices, games, and other team activities.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to plan and coordinate team strategies and tactics.
  • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development among athletes.
  • Support the physical and emotional well-being of athletes, including injury prevention and management.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders regarding team schedules, expectations, and progress.
  • Serve as a positive role model for athletes, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect at all times.
