Job description

Do you have a clinical skill you would like share with the patients at North Side Christian Health Center? We are looking for talented and enthusiastic volunteers to help us serve the community.


About Northside Christian Health Center:

North Side Christian Health Center is a comprehensive primary healthcare center established in 1993. NSCHC serves all patients without regard for their ability to pay. We serve everyone seeking the best care available regardless of their religious beliefs, ethnic and cultural background, language spoken, age, sex, and disability status. Our staff provides primary and preventive medical care for patients of all ages, mental and behavioral health services, dental care, and case management.


About the position:

All clinical volunteers are asked to provide proof of current immunizations, provide clearances (Act 33,34, 73), complete 5 hours of orientation & clinical compliance modules and commit to a consistent schedule (which would be adapted to your availability and NSCHC business operations) for a minimum of 4 months.

Clinical skills currently needed:

  • Nutrition and dietary consultations for patients
  • Pharmaceutical consultants for patients and providers
  • Chart review for quality improvement initiatives
  • Clinical support in the medical and dental departments (triage, sterilization, patient scheduling and reminders)
  • Care coordinating and navigation - ideal for individuals with experience in Pittsburgh's largest healthcare systems, social workers
