About the Role
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/ FUNCTIONS
- Operate and monitor machinery used in the manufacturing process, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and production schedules.
- Perform set-ups, adjustments, and minor maintenance on machines to guarantee optimal performance.
- Conduct quality checks at various stages of production to ensure components meet specified standards.
- Execute secondary operations such as assembly, soldering, testing, or inspection of electronic components as required.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during production and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime.
- Document production activities, maintain records, and report any deviations or irregularities in the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to enhance productivity and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure compliance with regulations and customer specifications.
- Follows 5S procedures.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/ KSA
- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and quality standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in operating machinery and familiarity with tools used in electronic component manufacturing.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to adhere to strict safety guidelines
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demands
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical certification or relevant vocational training
- Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably within the EMS industry.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
