About the Role
We're looking for outgoing, reliable, people-first hosts to be the heartbeat of our leagues. As a host, you'll be assigned to one or more leagues each season and serve as the face of the league for the full 8-week season. (Note: This is a role that works on weekends specifically)
You'll be the first person players see when they arrive and the last one they remember when they leave. You'll set the tone, keep things running smoothly, and make sure everyone has a great experience both on and off the field.

You're comfortable leading a group, talking to strangers, and creating a welcoming vibe. You like structure, but have the flexibility to pivot at a moment's notice without losing your cool. You take pride in being dependable, and you genuinely want people to have a good time.
What You'll Be Doing
Be the Face of the League + Deliver a Great Experience
  • Serve as the consistent, friendly point of contact throughout the 8-week season
  • Use the Volo Host App to check in players and report scores
  • Prepare venues before games, including basic setup
  • Create a positive, inclusive environment: welcome players each week, build rapport, and help turn teammates into friends
  • Ensure players feel supported, informed, and excited to return each week
  • Monitor gameplay and timing to keep leagues running smoothly
  • Ensure safety guidelines and league rules are followed, resolve minor issues and escalate concerns when needed
  • Share feedback, insights, and highlights with the Volo team

Support Growth & Engagement
  • Encourage players to connect, socialize, and engage beyond the game
  • Promote upcoming leagues, events, and offerings during league nights
  • Encourage players to sign up again and bring friends
  • Distribute marketing materials and help spread the word about Volo

Who You Are
  • Friendly, confident, and naturally outgoing
  • Comfortable leading groups and speaking in front of players
  • Reliable, punctual, and organized
  • Tech-comfortable (able to use apps for check-in and score reporting)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solution-oriented collaborator
  • Able to lift and carry 30-50 pounds
  • Available weeknights and weekends (that's when the fun happens)
