As a Sr. VoIP Call Manager / Mobile (Systems Administrator), you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and support of our Cisco Unified Communication Manager (UCM) and mobile systems. This hands-on technical role involves managing system upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintaining communication systems while providing high-quality service and ensuring system availability. Your expertise will directly impact our mission by ensuring the seamless operation of VoIP services, mobile endpoints, and other critical communication infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Management & InstallationInstall new software releases and system upgrades for Cisco Unified Communication Manager (UCM), evaluating and installing patches to maintain system stability.Perform system backups and data recovery, ensuring data integrity across all server components.Maintain system configurations and monitor system performance to prevent downtime or failure.Endpoint Management & TroubleshootingCreate, configure, and maintain client endpoints within the UCM, ensuring smooth communication between software-defined and physical devices.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to endpoints, both software-defined and physical, ensuring optimal functionality.System Monitoring & MaintenanceContinuously monitor system configurations and logs to ensure data integrity, prevent failures, and ensure continuous VoIP services.Conduct regular patching, system updates, and configuration changes to ensure optimal system performance and security.Collaboration & Problem ResolutionWork closely with internal teams and customers to address issues, providing technical support and solutions for any VoIP-related or mobile system concerns.Lead troubleshooting efforts for network and VoIP-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve problems efficiently.Documentation & ReportingMaintain detailed records of system configurations, patch updates, and troubleshooting processes.Prepare regular reports on system performance, potential issues, and resolution steps for internal stakeholders.Qualifications & Required Experience5+ years of hands-on experience with VoIP administration, especially with Cisco Unified Communication Manager (UCM), and managing mobile systems.Proficiency in VoIP systems, UCM configuration, and endpoint management (both software-defined and physical).Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in resolving VoIP call management and mobile system issues.Solid experience in performing system backups, recovery, and ensuring the integrity of data across critical infrastructure systems.Familiarity with network configurations, including the ability to manage and maintain configurations for VoIP and mobile systems.Ability to monitor systems, perform updates, and implement patches to ensure the highest level of service availability.Preferred SkillsCertifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).Experience with mobile endpoint management and configuration.Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices for VoIP infrastructure.Security Clearance: Secret or higher (must be eligible for DoD clearance). Why Vision IT?At Vision IT, we are committed to compassion, excellence, and servant leadership.
