Job description

With dynamic cross-training and advancement opportunities in a team-focused environment, the core of our success is its people with the commitment to a better healthcare experience.  When you join us as an CT Steering Technologist you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will:

  • Produces high quality CT diagnostic images from a remote location with the help of a Virtual Tech Assistant or registered XR or CT technologists in need of training.
  • Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
  • Ensure release of patient with proper follow-up information via the Virtual Tech Assistant.
  • Produce high quality images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
  • Monitor patient's well-being during scans via cameras and through feedback from Virtual Tech Assistant; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Assures patient safety by reviewing screening for implants with the Virtual Tech Assistant prior to the patient entering the CT room using time out procedure.
  • Demonstrates good judgment when correlating patient history and scanning protocols. Knows when to divert from routine scans and/or when to enlist assistance from radiologist to achieve high quality diagnostic images.
  • Will remotely perform scans on multiple CT scanners simultaneously in some instances.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

  • ARRT(R)(CT) certification or NMTCB(CT)
  • State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
  • Must have BLS certification
  • At least three years of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred
