Overview

ST. Charles Borromeo Catholic School, within the Diocese of Venice in Florida, Inc. works diligently to support and strengthen the Catholic Church and its value system. By word and example teachers support all of the official religious teachings of the Catholic Church throughout their personal and professional lives.

The IT Assistant will work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, all staff, and students to support teaching, learning and productivity to impact student achievement. This position will facilitate and coordinate peripheral technology and applications and facilitate support and training for faculty so that every teacher can deliver multi-sensory, accessible, and educational technology integrated lessons.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively develop educational technology plans, initiatives, tools and programs into the school's learning environment.
  • Instruct both teaching staff, students support staff and administrators in the use of technology-based learning tools and assessments.
  • Work with teams to support, train and assist in managing School Information systems, website, portals, etc.
  • Oversee management of all entity email, google workplace, printers, internet providers and servers.
  • On a day-to-day basis assess teachers and student's educational needs and match those needs with appropriate technologies and support.
  • Coordinate outside vendors.
  • Assist with technology budget.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm and pleasant under stressful circumstances.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills.
