JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Department: Medical Surgical 11 West
Shift Timing: 18:30 - 07:00 Monday to Friday 3 days 12 hour shift
Per Week: 36 Hours
  • 28 unit, serving Medical/Surg adult patients and does have telemetry capability.
  • Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6.
  • The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit coordinator.
  • Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemetry.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered Oklahoma RN license
  • One year of Cerner experience
Requirements
