How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Nurse who excels in this role:
- Oversees daily clinical operations and ensures continuity of care across departmentsÂ
- Serves as the primary clinical resource for staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teamsÂ
- Provides leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff during assigned shiftsÂ
- Assesses unit needs and prioritizes staffing assignments and patient care activitiesÂ
- Coordinates admissions, patient flow, and room placementÂ
- Ensures delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered careÂ
- Monitors patient care activities to reduce risk and prevent errorsÂ
- Provides direct patient care as needed based on unit demandsÂ
- Ensures accurate, timely, and compliant documentationÂ
- Oversees completion and accuracy of Interdisciplinary Care PlansÂ
- Supports Quality Indicator (QI) processes and performance improvement initiativesÂ
- Promotes adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practicesÂ
- Supports staff development, education, and a positive work environmentÂ
- Assists with staffing, scheduling, productivity, and operational workflowsÂ
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license and have graduated from an accredited nursing program. Additional requirements include:
- CPR/BLS certification requiredÂ
- CRRN certification preferredÂ
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferredÂ
- Minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitation or acute care setting requiredÂ
- Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferredÂ
- Strong leadership, clinical judgment, and decision-making skillsÂ
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsÂ
Schedule
3x12, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends
