Virtual / Online Special Education Teacher
Emmett Virtual Prep - Emmett School District
Position Overview
Emmett School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher experienced in Resource Room services to support students through Emmett Virtual Prep. Idaho Certification in Special Education K-12 is required.
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering specialized instruction across K-12 grade levels in a virtual or hybrid environment and supporting students with academic, behavioral, and executive functioning needs through online instruction and collaboration.
This position requires strong skills in:
  • Providing specially designed instruction through virtual and home school based platforms
  • Collaborating with online general education teachers and parents to ensure implementation of IEP accommodations and modifications
  • Coordinating related services
  • Maintaining compliance with Idaho Special Education requirements
  • Utilizing curriculum modifications and virtual learning systems
  • Supporting student engagement and behavioral needs in online and homeschool settings

Work Setting
This position operates in a hybrid model that includes:
  • Remote work from home
  • Time in-office collaboration, as determined by Emmett Virtual Prep and Special Education Administration

Position Purpose
The Virtual Special Education Teacher will:
  • Assess student needs

Qualifications Profile
Certification / License
  • Idaho State Certification as a Special Education Teacher/K-12 Exceptional Child

Education
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to the teaching assignment

Experience
  • Successful prior special education teaching experience preferred
