Your role will be pivotal, requiring proficiency in legal software, excellent communication skills, and a knack for time management. This full-time, onsite position is designed for a dedicated professional who is eager to be a dependable team member for our attorneys, contributing significantly to our collaborative efforts. If you have a passion for legal support and a desire to be part of a team that values your experience and work/life balance, we invite you to join us. As a PI Litigation Paralegal, you will:

Responsibilities:

  • Update the Treatment Tracker along with Legal Assistant.
  • Making sure the 45-Day No Client Contact Report is up to date along with the legal assistant.
  • Draft all Pleadings.
  • Save all electronic filed documents to Litify.
  • Update the Litify Counsel tab when an answer is received.
  • Draft and respond to discovery demands and Bill of Particulars.
  • Enter all discovery dates into Litify - monitor to ensure Note of Issue date is accurate and updated.
  • Obtain all bills, add all into Litify.
  • Health lien requests.
  • Handle incoming calls along with Legal Assistant.
  • Handle all requests for more specific responses to Discovery Demands.
  • Draft Motions under the direction of your attorney.
  • Draft the skeleton of Oppositions and Replies - under the direction of your attorney.
  • Obtain all documents and handle scheduling for Infant Compromise Hearing.
  • Draft UM Approval Letters and UM Submissions to AAA.
  • Schedule depositions, confirm depositions and order a court reporter.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal.
  • Proficiency in legal software such as Litify, eCourts, and legal databases.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
