Job description

Our client, a respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to support attorneys in a fast-paced litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have strong case management skills, experience with insurance defense matters, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of insurance defense litigation
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate docketing of deadlines
  • Coordinate and assist with discovery responses, document production, and trial preparation
  • Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and other case-related documents
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings
  • Conduct legal research and support attorneys with case strategy and preparation



Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of insurance defense, or civil defense experience
  • Strong knowledge of court procedures, rules, and filing requirements
  • Experience managing litigation files from inception through trial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
