Strategic Ventures is currently recruiting an Advanced Operations Instructor to support specialized mission readiness and capability development initiatives at Fort Liberty, NC. The Instructor will deliver high-impact, advanced technical training curricula targeting unconventional warfare, cyber-enabled information operations, and open-source intelligence (OSINT). The ideal candidate will combine a deep background in Special Operations Forces (SOF) or the Interagency intelligence community with modern, hands-on technical tradecraft.
The Instructor will:
  • Deliver, refine, and maintain advanced instructional modules focusing on digital tradecraft, publicly available information (PAI) collection, and open-source research methodologies.
  • Instruct personnel on the operational deployment of technical tools, including virtualized environments, network security fundamentals, script automation utilities, and digital risk mitigation.
  • Incorporate real-world case studies involving emerging technology trends into active training scenarios.
  • Assess student performance through rigorous practical exercises, providing actionable feedback to optimize field readiness.
  • Collaborate with curriculum developers, collection managers, and external defense stakeholders to ensure courseware reflects evolving threat landscapes and modern operational realities.
  • Draft training reports, performance evaluations, and high-level program assessments for senior leadership.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or operational field (or equivalent military/professional experience).
  • 8+ years of total experience within the DoD or Intelligence Community, to include a minimum of 3 years of direct operational experience in digital tradecraft, cyber-enabled operations, or advanced OSINT.
  • 2+ years of experience delivering adult education, formal training, or curriculum development within a military setting.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Linux environments, virtual machines, networking principles, and basic scripting concepts.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical operations to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in Cyberspace Operations, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Prior experience supporting the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School or specialized SOF components.
  • Practical familiarity with Python automation or similar object-oriented programming for research applications.
  • Formal military instructor certification (e.g., Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course / CFDC).
